Getting it Started

Everytime someone says to me "find a mentor" I always think it has to be a person a should talk with on a daily basis, but actually I have had multiple mentors that probably do not know they were my mentors. Like the coach Investools matched me with. I consider him one of my trading mentors as well. My daily blog spot Optionaddict.net with Jeff Kohler. He is my mentor as well ( I'm sure he doesn't know it either).



So, what the heck have I done

1. I opened up a brokerage account. There are many to choose from Option Xpress, E-Trade, Ameritrade, etc. I went with Think or Swim www.thinkorswim.com for the additional free classes they offer and the low commissions, plus I like their flava.

Therapy?

My First Post

After abruptly quitting my 8 yr job in corporate. I find myself missing the interaction (not the work, of course). I am a regulary on other folks blog and still find myself I guess kinda lonely. So, why not create my own about my trading/investing experience here in San Antonio, Texas. Yep, that is actually why I quit my stable job with good benefits. I know that is that what my family always instilled. "Get a good job with good benefits."

My thinking changed when I could not find any motivation to do somewhere elses work and get only a 2-3% raise. "You mean all those project I busted my azz off for to complete on time and under budget and you still find the smallest mistake I have made to "nick" me on my annual review; however you profitted millions for my project completion and I profited 2-3% and health care benefits...WOW, no thankyou!
